ÖVP veteran Othmar Karas may not be preparing for the National Council elections in the fall, but he is preparing for the presidential election in 2028. Which party offered Karas which place on the list and who his opponent could be in the race for the Hofburg. 

It was a veritable marathon of talks and negotiations. Far from the public eye, informally and mostly behind closed doors, Othmar Karas met the "who's who" of the political scene. He spent months and weeks sounding out potential partners and financiers for the foundation of his own movement.
