“Hut life is not so romantic”

The mild temperatures are attracting the first hikers to the mountains, but shortly before the start of the season, three huts in Upper Austria are still without tenants. The "Krone" knows the current status of the search for a successor and why it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable staff.

Hearty cheese spaetzle or a rustic snack are the ultimate reward for many hikers after a summit victory. However, in the coming season, they could find their taste buds closed in some places, as no tenants have yet been found for two huts in the Upper Austrian mountains. A solution is on the horizon for another one, but not until 2025.
