Pupils sell home-made products at the town market
After the production in class, the future young farmers are allowed to sell their own products at the town market in Lienz. Homemade products ranging from baked goods to dairy products are sold.
Whether homemade sausages, soft cheese or yoghurt - the pupils at the Lienz Agricultural College (LLA) work hard throughout the school year and learn how to process and ultimately sell their own products. In order to gain an insight into sales practice, the students from the final classes were allowed to sell their home-made food at the Lienz town market on March 22 and 23.
This has almost become a tradition, as the school's stall has been at the town market for many years.
Baked goods and other delicacies
The LLA focuses on the production of dairy and meat products as well as baked goods. As part of the lessons, the primary products are refined into regional delicacies and brought to the plate in the teaching and business kitchen. The highlight this year is likely to be the home-made Leberkäse, which is available to buy in different varieties.
There are also classics such as Camembert or Kärntner Reindlinge as well as preserves. Creative workpieces are also on sale at the stand.
