Frustration instead of shopping pleasure: city centers are empty

Lower Austria is at the top of a recent study - but in a ranking of the highest vacancy rates and store space losses. Where particularly many stores are empty and which city defies this ranking. 

Pandemic, inflation, real estate crisis - the events of recent years have left their mark on the business world. This is shown by a recent study by the consulting firm Standort + Markt, which took a close look at store development and the vacancy rate in 24 shopping streets and 16 selected small towns in Austria. The latest figures prove once again that even the city centers in Lower Austria are not immune to empty stores.
