How to top up your pension

According to a survey, we expect to have 20 to 40 percent less money to live on in old age than when we were working. This pension gap amounts to hundreds of euros a month. However, you can still supplement your future pension by voluntarily taking out additional insurance, buying back periods of training, etc.

The facts are sobering: according to the latest figures from 2022, women had an average gross monthly pension of 1313 euros, men 2229 euros (14 x per year each). At the same time, according to a survey by Standard Life, 74% expect the cost of living in retirement to be at least as high as when they were active, while 69% expect their income to be 20 to 40% lower.
