Last year, the travel platform Flix increased its turnover to more than two billion euros for the first time. Recently, however, the company has repeatedly made the news due to serious accidents. How does the business model with the green buses work? And how did it manage to become a global mobility group in just a few years? Krone+ reveals the background.

The frog-green buses are a hit. 81 million people in 42 countries worldwide were transported by the German long-distance bus and train operator Flix in 2023. This corresponds to an increase of 34% compared to the previous year. The reward? The Munich-based company can boast an annual turnover of more than two billion euros. The operating profit amounts to 104 million euros.
