Elias Leitner just missed out on his first podium finish in the Snowboardcross World Cup with fourth place in Georigen. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old from Vorarlberg is going into his first home World Cup in Montafon next week with plenty of self-confidence. There he could also get a ticket for the World Championships in Switzerland at the last minute.
"I really didn't expect things to go so well in Gudauri beforehand," admitted snowboard crosser Elias Leitner, who sensationally raced to fourth place in Georgia last weekend and thus secured the best result of his still very young career - by far.
