He won the Ski Jumping World Cup a total of eight times this year and also won the traditional Four Hills Tournament; only the normal hill competition at the Nordic World Championships 2025 went completely wrong - so it's no coincidence that Daniel Tschofenig came out as "burning hot" after the bitter disappointment!

To crash at the highlight of the season of all things, "that really hurts. I've already got a grudge, of course I'm miffed!" says the 22-year-old with a sarcastic smile on his face. "It wasn't cool! But what can I do? I don't need to cry now either!"

After the first round, he was "burning hot", said Tschofenig. When asked about the jury's decisions, he abstained after a long, meaningful pause for reflection.

"Those were not family-friendly expressions!"
He only wanted to start analyzing his jumps after a cooling-off period. What was he thinking when he left the finish area in a rage? "Those were not family-friendly expressions, I'd rather not say!"

At least he finished with a positive outlook for the future. "Fortunately, the World Championships will last longer, hopefully things will turn out even better in the other competitions," said the disgruntled Four Hills Tournament winner.
