A wolf carcass has turned up in Tyrol. Have poachers been up to mischief here? In any case, there was no kill notice. The matter is now being investigated further.

The Neustift police station in the Stubai Valley received a report on Thursday that a wolf carcass had been found in Neustift. It is still unclear how the wolf died and, above all, whether anyone - and if so, who - is responsible. There was no culling notice for this area. The animal is now being autopsied in Innsbruck and a DNA sample has already been taken.

The further investigation and examination results are now awaited in order to take any further steps. This concerns possible criminal and administrative offenses.
