Ministerial posts: “You can have everything except …”

In the shadow of the faltering government negotiations at federal level, the February state parliament in Tyrol began on Wednesday. The atmosphere between the ÖVP and FPÖ was noticeably tense, and the blue party leader made an eye-catching announcement. However, there was a sexism alert for state councillor for social affairs Eva Pawlata (SPÖ) - who was not called to order. 

Atmospheric disgruntlement was also noticeable in the Tyrolean state parliament between the ÖVP and FPÖ after negotiations at federal level had recently come to a standstill. Tyrol's FPÖ leader Markus Abwerzger was slightly annoyed by the possible black government partner, who was behaving in the negotiations as if he had won the election.
