Cell phone robber had more than two per mille in his blood

A 17-year-old boy had the fright of his life on Sunday morning in Vöcklabruck (Upper Austria). The boy was threatened with death by a 32-year-old if he did not hand over his cell phone. The frightened teenager did as he was told. The perpetrator was identified by the police shortly afterwards.

The robbery took place at around 3.45 a.m. near the Bistro-Box in Vöcklabruck. The 32-year-old from Ried im Innkreis was apparently after the iPhone 15 of the 17-year-old from Regau. He is said to have intimidated the teenager and threatened to kill him if he did not hand over the phone. He is said to have formed his fingers into a weapon.

Escaped with the loot
The young lad didn't want to take the chance. He left the cell phone with the man. The 32-year-old then left the scene with the loot. 

Alerted police officers were able to reach the robber on his cell phone. He then returned to the scene of the crime, but made rather confused statements. A breathalyzer test was then arranged. The result: the 32-year-old had 2.1 per mille in his blood. He was reported to the police.
