ÖBB is fed up with the dispute over Vienna’s connecting line

The fate of the connecting line as the new main public transport axis for Vienna will now be decided in a marathon of court hearings. ÖBB has had enough of being pilloried for this. The project manager holds out the prospect that the S-Bahn ring for Vienna will be sidelined.

Both the three Hietzing citizens' initiatives united in court and the ÖBB know that this is the decisive battle for the new connecting line in Vienna: In an - extremely unusual - six-day marathon of hearings, the Federal Administrative Court now wants to finally get the eternal tug-of-war over the redesign between Hütteldorf and Meidling off the table.
