Popular Prater restaurant goes on winter break

The "Gösser Eck" is being renovated, after which guests can look forward to a herring feast for little money. Before the winter break, there was one last meal.

The Luftburg in the Prater is taking its winter break and using the time for extensive renovation work - a concept that the "Gösser Eck" is also pursuing. At the end of the season, operator Soufian Tabib hosted the traditional Restlessen at the weekend, an event that regular guests have enjoyed for years.

But the month-long break doesn't mean a standstill: shortly after reopening, Tabib is planning a herring feast, offering fine fish creations at reasonable prices. "I don't earn anything from it, but it's a token of appreciation for my guests," explains the landlord, who opened his second restaurant "Das Beisl im Prater" a year ago.

The winter break is mainly used for minor renovations that cannot be carried out during normal operations.

Tabib's recipe for success? Hospitality and closeness to his guests. "I particularly appreciate the warmth here," says a loyal regular guest, who highlights the family atmosphere and the events.
