Dad Jos lashes out: “They don’t like Max anyway”

Jos Verstappen has spoken out after the penalties against his son Max in Mexico. He senses sympathy from some stewards and criticizes the current Red Bull car. The dad makes it clear: "Max won't change his driving style!"

"Max won't change his driving style because there were a few stewards who don't like him anyway," Papa Jos tells De Telegraaf. This is the Dutchman's reaction to the two time penalties against his son at the Mexican Grand Prix. 

The 52-year-old was also extremely critical of the appointment of the race stewards: "The FIA should take a good look at who they appoint as stewards and whether there is a conflict of interest." A conspiracy against the world champion? Jos Verstappen has at least a few people on his radar: "For example, former drivers who have more sympathy for certain drivers." 

Once in a rage, the former racing driver can no longer be stopped and also makes a fine point against Red Bull: "Max has to drive the way he wants. He has to do that because his car is not good enough and he is doing everything he can to win the title."
