The vacancy rate in municipal buildings

Apartments, commercial premises, parking spaces and storage rooms: they are usually in high demand in municipal buildings, but some are also vacant. Sometimes for surprising reasons. 

More than 13,000 Viennese are currently waiting for a council apartment for the first time. In addition, there are around 9,000 who already have one but would like to move to another. Demand is high, but there are still thousands of empty flats.
