Couple received the wrong polling cards

The correct envelopes contained the wrong polling cards - a couple from Frankenmarkt (Upper Austria) were astonished when they wanted to cast their votes three and a half weeks before the National Council elections due to their vacation. The municipal office is now working extra shifts to rectify the embarrassing mistake.

"As my wife and I are on vacation in Germany on the election date of 29.09.2024, we ordered a polling card so that we could exercise our right to vote by post. A serious deficiency was discovered when we opened and signed it," one Frankenmark resident angrily wrote to the Krone.
