Alarm at 11.55 pm for the Klagenfurt professional fire department and the Haidach volunteer fire department: a fire was clearly visible in a wooded area in Pulverturmstraße in Klagenfurt, near the city garden center. "The fire departments were able to identify a wooden hut as the source of the fire," reported the police.

"We were able to successfully extinguish the fire with the volunteer fire department using breathing apparatus," explained BFW Klagenfurt. "Two C-pipes were used." Why the hut was engulfed by flames and the exact amount of damage caused has yet to be clarified.

Fire alarm in the DIY store
A good two hours earlier, BFW Klagenfurt had been deployed to a DIY store. "The fire alarm was triggered," reported the police. "On investigation, it was determined that a smouldering fire had started in a packaged pool robot, presumably due to a defect."

The professional fire department then flooded the pool robot - a necessary measure in the event of fires with devices that have a battery installed, as such fires can start again and again.
