The threatened innkeeper then banned the 61-year-old from the premises, which apparently hit him hard. "In order to circumvent this ban, the accused pretended to be a criminal police officer, then dialed the police emergency number and also pretended to be a criminal police officer," is how the police describe the completely bizarre situation.

Criminal consequences
However, the plan did not really work, but had serious consequences for the fake detective. Dangerous threats (against the landlord) and usurpation of authority (as a criminal police officer) are the criminal charges, which carry a prison sentence of up to two years.
