Low tide in the coffers: these projects are on ice

Many municipalities are slowly running out of money, and Klagenfurt has its back to the wall. Experts fear a hole of 40 million euros in the city's coffers this year. This means that some projects cannot be implemented for the time being.

VP City Councillor Max Habenicht is responsible for the city's facility management: "If you add up the requests from all the departments in the city hall, you would end up with an investment sum of 164 million euros. That is utopian. I have only submitted eleven million euros for implementation. In recent years, 10 million euros have been approved."
