Non-alcoholic sparkling wine has now found its place on supermarket shelves. Non-alcoholic beer and wine, on the other hand, continue to lag behind the expectations of brewers and winemakers. One mistake is made time and again, particularly on the consumer side: the comparison with alcoholic beer. Krone+ went to the Egger brewery to investigate.

"Non-alcoholic beer is like a scent tree on the handlebars. Useless." Johannes Meister has heard it all before. As his name suggests, Meister is the first master brewer at the Egger brewery in Unterradlberg near St. Pölten. The "Krone" paid him a visit to find out more about non-alcoholic beer.
