How much real estate currently costs in Austria

Prices per square meter for houses range between 2400 and 7200 euros, depending on the province, and between 3700 and 6900 euros for apartments. While prices for houses fell by one percent in the first half of 2024, condominiums remained the same price.

For the study, Immoscout24 evaluated and compared almost 170,000 real estate listings from the first six months of 2023 and 2024. This revealed major differences between the federal states: For houses, average prices per square meter range from 2400 euros in Burgenland to just under 7200 euros in Tyrol (see chart).
