British show jumping team wins Olympic gold

The British show jumping team with Ben Maher on Dallas Vegas Batilly, Harry Charles on Romeo and Scott Brash on Jefferson won Olympic gold in the final without a knockdown. The British won on the course in front of the Palace of Versailles after two time penalties ahead of the USA (4 penalties) and France (7). 

Qualification winners Germany came away empty-handed in fifth place.

The Austrian team with Katharina Rhomberg, Gerfried Puck and Max Kühner missed out on a place in the final of the top ten in 13th place.
