Tanned, fit as a fiddle, in a good mood. Former ÖSV boss Peter Schröcksnadel, who celebrates his 83rd birthday on Tuesday, is also in Paris. At the Austrian House, he spoke to the "Krone" newspaper about a possible turnaround at the Games, the return of skiing giant Marcel Hirscher and a possible breakthrough in cancer research.

"Krone": Mr. Schröcksnadel, how much of the Olympics will be possible for you?
Peter Schröcksnadel: I arrived on Thursday - at the invitation of the IOC, I'm staying until 3 August. I want to watch a lot, including the start of the equestrian competitions, because Victoria Max-Theurer, a good friend of mine, is competing.
