"Burli" is much loved, but is the saddest parrot in Austria. Apart from the love of his owners, the red-fronted Amazon parrot has nothing he needs for a happy bird's life. Now the authorities in the Innviertel region are supposed to fix it - and a new home is already waiting for "Burli".
The red-fronted Amazon parrot "Burli" has been living with a family in St. Pantaleon in the Braunau district for more than 30 years. Unfortunately, he is unable to fly due to a disability in his wing. It is unclear whether this was the result of a deliberate amputation to prevent him from flying away or was necessary due to an accident.
