Trouble over new rule in Viennese private kindergarten
Are kindergartens allowed to design and change their general terms and conditions as they see fit? And does this mean "eat or die" for parents? From a legal point of view, of course not - and in fact many a case ends up in court.
Working parents are dependent on help to look after their children. So it's all the more of a shock when you suddenly lose your nursery place and have to look for a replacement in a hurry. Two mothers have just found themselves in this dilemma. They are certain that they were thrown out because neither of them wanted to accept the new general terms and conditions of the private facility in Vienna.
