Cute young dogs simply abandoned on the street

It's heartless, it's cruelty to animals. Three young dogs were abandoned on the Alpbacher Landesstraße in Tyrol at the beginning of the week in sweltering heat. One of the animals is injured. The suspicion: it could have been knocked out of a moving car.  

The police and the Animal Welfare Association for Tyrol received several reports on Monday and Tuesday. There was talk of visibly disoriented dogs wandering around in the municipality of Reith im Alpbachtal near the main road. Without food or water, the three cute young dogs were left to fend for themselves.

An animal with numerous bruises
Police and animal rights activists collected the three terrified four-legged friends and brought them to the animal shelter. A vet found numerous bruises on one of the animals, which was around six months old. The pattern of injuries suggests that the dog may have been knocked out of a moving car. 

According to initial findings, the dogs are "Shiba Inu" mongrels. They were not chipped. This is a requirement in Austria. The police therefore assume that the animals were deliberately abandoned.
