Biker (22) overtakes rescue car at 156 km/h

In a 70 km/h zone, a 22-year-old in Wels sped past an ambulance at 156 km/h on his motorcycle. The young speeding driver has lost his license for the time being, but was lucky that his bike was not also confiscated.

Normally, ambulances overtake civilian vehicles, but in Wels on Monday it was the other way round: a 22-year-old from Messestadt raced past an ambulance on his motorcycle at 156 km/h on a section of Eferdinger Straße where the speed limit is 70 km/h. His driving license was confiscated.

The police stopped the biker for a driver and vehicle check and temporarily confiscated his driver's license. The 22-year-old was still lucky: the young man "missed" the limit for taking away the motorcycle under the new speeding law by just four km/h.
