Drove with over 2 per mille after an argument

A 55-year-old Hungarian man who lives in Traun "fought" his frustration over an argument with his wife with a large amount of alcohol. But then the man got behind the wheel of a car - his wife's - and was promptly stopped by the police.

The 55-year-old was driving his wife's car on the B1 coming from Marchtrenk towards Linz at around 12 noon on Friday. Because of his conspicuous driving style and a traffic accident he almost caused, another road user filed a complaint.

Shortly afterwards, the 55-year-old was found sitting in the vehicle by a patrol in Traun and subjected to a driver and vehicle check. A breathalyzer test revealed a level of 2.52 per mille. This was not the only problem: the man also did not have a valid driving license. The 55-year-old gave an argument with his wife as the reason for his alcohol consumption.
