On Tuesday night, four cars burned out in Linz's Makart district and a fifth was damaged. Residents were woken from their sleep by exploding tires and some even thought it was a bomb attack. Arson cannot be ruled out. One car miraculously remained almost intact. The police are investigating at full speed.

Alarm in Linz's Makartviertel! At around 3 a.m., residents of Anastasius Grün Straße in Linz were - as reported - woken up by a series of explosions. "My neighbor rang me out in a panic and told me to get my son and that we had to leave, bombs were exploding in the street," reported a resident who lives right across the street.
