Attempted to bribe police officers during interrogation

After three Serbs broke into a chemist's store in Spittal an der Drau on Friday, an immediate manhunt quickly led to the perpetrators. One of the men then tried to bribe the police officers during questioning. 

The initially unknown perpetrators had targeted high-priced perfumes in the drugstore in Spittal on Friday morning and stole several of them before fleeing. "Following the description of the perpetrators and an immediate manhunt, three men from Serbia were stopped and arrested in a car," said the police.

Fragrances and spirits seized
During the search of the vehicle, 13 expensive perfumes and more than 30 bottles of high-proof spirits were seized. When questioned, the men only confessed to stealing the perfumes.

One of the perpetrators, a 21-year-old Serbian, was even so brazen that he tried to bribe the police officers during questioning. "He was sent to Klagenfurt prison by order of the public prosecutor. The two other offenders, aged 25 and 35, were taken into custody pending deportation and taken to the police detention center," said the officers. Further investigations are ongoing.
