Speeding madness in Linz. A 19-year-old was in a particular hurry on Leonfeldner Straße in Urfahr and overtook another driver - at 120 km/h. His bad luck: the police were taking laser measurements at the exact spot. He lost his driver's license. But the car was not confiscated.

A Linz patrol carried out laser measurements on Leonfeldner Straße in Linz at around 8.30 p.m. on Friday. A 19-year-old man from Linz was driving a car into the city from the north at around 8.35 p.m. and overtook another vehicle.

120 instead of 50 km/h
The Mercedes E350 was measured at a speed of 120 km/h after overtaking. He was then stopped and subjected to a driver and vehicle check. The 19-year-old's driver's license was temporarily confiscated. He was also prohibited from continuing to drive and the vehicle keys were confiscated.
