Evening of destiny: Venetbahn finally saved

The future of the traditional Venetbahn was decided on Thursday evening in Zams and Landeck in three virtually simultaneous meetings. 

The fateful evening for the Venet gave the beleaguered railroad a future of at least 20 years. The municipalities of Zams and Landeck and the owner TVB Tirol West voted almost simultaneously in favor of accepting the so-called "Letter of Intent", a kind of agreement with the new operator Pletzer Group.

Investment of 10.5 million euros
The agreement also includes an investment of €10.5 million. From May, Pletzer will hold 80% of the shares and bear the economic risk.
