Arsenal have once again taken the lead in the English Premier League title race. The Gunners won the derby against Chelsea 5:0 (1:0) on Tuesday, extending their lead over rivals Liverpool and Manchester City to three and four points respectively.
On Wednesday, Liverpool can follow suit in the city duel at Everton, with defending champions Man City in action at Brighton a day later. However, City still have one more game up their sleeve.
In a one-sided match, Arsenal's victory could have been much higher. Kai Havertz scored his tenth and eleventh goals of the season against his former club (57th, 65th) and missed further good opportunities. The other goals for coach Mikel Arteta's team were scored by Leandro Trossard (4th) and Ben White twice (52nd and 70th).
After Arsenal threatened to lose their way in the Champions League quarter-finals against Bayern Munich and the bitter defeat at home to Aston Villa, they have now bounced back in impressive fashion. Another city duel with Tottenham Hotspur awaits with four rounds to go on Sunday.
