Anger at F1 driver
Hamilton has had enough: “There are people who talk sh****”
Clear words from Lewis Hamilton! The Mercedes driver was asked about his switch to Ferrari during a media round on Thursday and complained because "people keep talking sh****".
In interviews, Lewis Hamilton always presents himself as calm and professional. But now the record Formula 1 world champion has had enough. "I don't feel I need any justification for my decision, because I know what's right for me," emphasized the 39-year-old on Thursday in China when asked whether the poor performance of the "Silver Arrows" was confirmation for him to switch to Ferrari.
There was never a moment when he questioned the switch, Hamilton made clear. "And I don't let myself be influenced by other people's comments either. Even today, there are people who continue to tell sh****. And that will continue for the rest of the year." Specifically, Hamilton meant "the reports out there".
Last winner in China
After five years, the Formula 1 entourage returns to the Middle Kingdom this week. Back then, Mercedes still dominated Formula 1, Hamilton won in Shanghai and was on his way to his sixth of a total of seven world championship titles. Since then, the sport has changed dramatically, with new faces and a new balance of power.
