Bill Gates with girlfriend on the red carpet for the first time

Three years ago, Bill and his wife Melinda Gates divorced after 27 years of marriage. Since then, the Microsoft founder has been happily married again. Now the 68-year-old has made his first official appearance with his girlfriend Paula Hurd (60) at a red carpet event.

The billionaire and his partner attended the 10th Breakthrough Awards ceremony at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles on Sunday. The awards ceremony is regarded as the "Oscars of science".

Gates and Hurd wore harmonizing outfits. While the entrepreneur wore a dark suit, a white shirt and a black bow tie, Hurd appeared in a black dress with feather details on the hem of the skirt and a turtleneck adorned with a white pearl necklace.

The couple posed on the red carpet with Kim Kardashian, who wore a revealing white dress with cutouts, and her mother Kris Jenner, among others.

Gates and Hurd are said to have been in a relationship since 2022. Hurd is the widow of former Oracle CEO Mark Hurd, who died in October 2019.

Bill Gates, who founded the future IT giant Microsoft together with Paul Allen in 1975, is considered one of the richest people in the world
