Four ÖRV boats in the intermediate heat for the World Cup A final
Austria's four boats competing in the World Cup opener in Varese (Italy) will each race in the intermediate heats on Saturday for a place in the A-finals!
In the LG double sculls, Louisa Altenhuber/Lara Tiefenthaler came fourth in the preliminary heat on Friday, while Lukas Reim/Julian Schöberl came fourth and Konrad Hultsch/Paul Ruttmann fifth in a direct comparison in this class. The eight came third.
"Technically, both boats made a good impression!"
Excitement is guaranteed in the men's lightweight double sculls, as it will be decided which of the two boats will represent Austria at the European Olympic quota regatta at the end of April. "Technically, both boats presented a good picture, they started the race courageously with the better end for Schöberl/Reim. In terms of time, the A final is possible for both of them," said ÖRV national coach Robert Sens.
