Wraber loses at the start of the European Championships and misses out on the Olympics

Luka Wraber has lost his last chance of an Olympic ticket. 

The Lower Austrian lost his first round match against the German Fabian Roth 0:2 (10:21, 16:21) at the European Badminton Championships in Saarbrücken on Monday and will not be taking part in the Summer Games in Paris.

Wraber had suffered five opening defeats in a row before the continental title fights and thus put himself in a difficult position for the Olympic qualification.
