After an argument
Unknown persons fired shots with alarm guns
Several shots were fired in Bregenz on Sunday evening. When the police arrived at the scene, they found four shell casings from an alarm gun and four youths who had previously been in an argument with three unknown persons.
At around 9.30 p.m., several calls were received by the police control center in Bregenz from worried residents of Bregenz about the shots. Seven patrols from the federal police, a patrol from the Bregenz security guard and officers from the "Cobra" task force were deployed immediately.
At the scene, the young men, aged between 15 and 20, stated that they had previously got into an argument with two other men and a woman. The argument had ended in a scuffle. However, no one was injured.
Shots came from the direction of the strangers
The quarrellers separated. Afterwards - as the quartet reported to the police - shots were heard, apparently fired by the three strangers (the two men and the woman).
According to the four boys, the shots were not fired with the intention of injuring another person. However, they did not want to rule out a possible threat.
No one was injured in the incident. The manhunt for the unknown trio was unsuccessful.
