Nadal can’t compete in Monte Carlo either!

Former tennis star Rafael Nadal has now also had to cancel his participation in the ATP 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo, which begins on Sunday! 

"Simply put, my body won't allow it," the 37-year-old Spaniard wrote on social media.

Nadal had to take a break for almost a year due to a complicated hip injury before returning to the ATP Tour in Australia in January.

However, after two victories at the tournament in Brisbane, he was halted by the next injury. Since then, the 22-time Grand Slam tournament winner has not played a competitive match.

Nadal's major goals in his last season as a professional are the French Open at the end of May and the Summer Olympics, which will also be held on clay in Paris.
