Olympic silver medalist Polleres skips the European Championships

Former Olympic bronze medalist Michaela Polleres is skipping the European Judo Championships in Zagreb at the end of April.

The Olympic silver medalist and winner of the most recent Grand Slam tournament in Antalya is concentrating on preparing for the Summer Games in Paris.

The 16-strong ÖJV team for the European Championships will be led by Lubjana Piovesana, Magdalena Krssakova and the Borchashvili brothers Shamil and Wachid in the absence of World Championship bronze medallist Polleres.
