Necessary donations for Ukrainian war victims

Aid transports have already set out from Draustadt to Ukraine 33 times. Now they are collecting again.

The main fire station and the town of Villach have already joined forces with the help of numerous volunteers to launch several support campaigns for Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of the war, 33 shipments have reached Ukrainian aid organizations from Villach," says Andreas Kuchler, organizer of Ukraine-Hilfe Villach: "In the last few days and weeks, we have again received dramatic calls for help. That is why we are once again asking Carinthians for numerous donations in kind and money."

What items are needed
In particular, durable food, drinks, baby food, hygiene articles and detergents are needed, as well as bed linen, mattresses, textiles and household items of all kinds. School supplies, toys, bicycles, walkers, wheelchairs and diapers for children and adults are also needed.

Donations in kind can be handed in directly at the main fire station in Villach from Tuesday to Friday (1pm to 5pm). "We are infinitely grateful for the great help that has already been given to us," says Natalia Ibragimowa, Director of the Regional Center for Social Services.
