Families struggle with Salzburg surcharge when building

Data shows that the province of Salzburg not only has the highest real estate prices - building itself is also expensive! For a square meter of a standard apartment, for example, you have to pay around 800 euros more than in Carinthia. There are no real explanations for this.

House builders in Salzburg are seeing some light at the end of the dark housing construction tunnel: after all, they have 24.2 million euros available over the next three years as a subsidy (special purpose subsidy) for building, buying and renting. This is made possible by the housing construction billion approved by the federal government, which will be distributed to the provinces via a population formula.
