FC Bayern takes big step towards title

FC Bayern Munich's women's team have taken a giant step towards successfully defending their title in the German Bundesliga. The league leaders won Saturday's thriller at rivals VfL Wolfsburg 4-0, remained unbeaten in their 17th game and moved seven points clear of their fiercest rivals with five rounds to go. Full-back Katharina Naschenweng played through, midfield ace Sarah Zadrazil was active until the 89th minute.

The goals in front of 24,437 spectators were scored by Pernille Harder (48), Klara Bühl (57), Lea Schüller (76) and Georgia Stanway (87).

Feiersinger ahead of title with Roma
Laura Feiersinger is another ÖFB team player who is well on the way to a national title. After AS Roma beat Sassuolo 3-0 at home on the second matchday of the Serie A Femminile championship round, they have a six-point lead over their closest rivals Juventus Turin. However, Feiersinger had a tough time in Rome and was only substituted in the 73rd minute.
