Austria's U17 footballers are currently competing in the elite round of the European Championship qualifiers in Wiener Neustadt, having won their first game 2:0 against Slovenia. Now Norway (Saturday) and Spain (Tuesday) await. Magnus, the son of ice hockey great Claus Dalpiaz, will play in defense.

Claus Dalpiaz was a big name in Austrian ice hockey, is the red-white-red record goalkeeper with 146 international matches, has played in eleven senior world championships and three Olympic Games. The Tyrolean, who lives in Neubeuern, Bavaria, enjoys legendary status in Innsbruck. The "31" is no longer awarded by the Sharks, for whom the 52-year-old stood in the box from 2000 to 2007, and hangs under the roof.
