Criminal arrested during a traffic stop

A Romanian man fell into a trap on Saturday evening in Uttendorf: when he was stopped at a traffic checkpoint, the police discovered that he was under arrest. The man went straight to prison.

This traffic stop ended in prison for a Romanian man (35): Police were carrying out routine checks on vehicles on the Mittersill main road (B168) late on Saturday evening when they came across a car with a Romanian driver in the Uttendorf area.

When the officers checked the occupants more closely after taking their personal details, they discovered that the Innsbruck Regional Court (Tyrol) had ordered the arrest of the front passenger. He is accused of attempted and aggravated coercion, forgery of documents, forgery of specially protected documents and theft.

The 35-year-old Romanian co-driver was arrested on the spot. He was taken to Innsbruck prison.
