Around 260 exhibitors will be showcasing their products and services at the Tyrolean Spring Fair in Innsbruck until Sunday. The 39th edition offers everything the heart desires for the whole family. On the first day, the "Krone" also took a tour of the halls.

"Experience for the whole family." Under this motto, the Tyrolean Spring Fair in Innsbruck opened its doors for the 39th time on Thursday and will remain open until Sunday. Around 260 companies, associations and institutions are showcasing tried-and-tested and new products. A visit to the "Krone" stand is also worthwhile. If you are successful in the competition, you can win a fan trip to the European Championships in Berlin on June 25, which will certainly be remembered for a long time to come.

This year's main topics range from mobility, health, gardening, barbecuing, gaming and travel to wellness. The varied program is rounded off by 50 specialist presentations on three stages. The "Tiroler Krone" also took a look around.

The latest car models
In Hall A, everything revolves around cars, motorcycles, vintage cars and campers, right through to mountain bikes and e-bikes. The ÖAMTC is also represented with a stand. Visitors can experience what it feels like to roll over in a simulator. Independent experts will also be on hand to explain the fire risk, carbon footprint and recycling of e-cars.

Not far from the speedsters and bikes, wellness enthusiasts will find what they are looking for. Several exhibitors will be presenting the latest hot tub models. Despite inflation and high energy prices, "pools are still in vogue", says Stefan Oberhauser, who is currently busy founding his own company and is planning a cooperation with the manufacturer "Waterwave Spas".

Even before Corona, interest in self-sufficiency with herbs, fruit and vegetables was already on the rise.

Delicacies for the palate
Food and drink will also be catered for. The barbecue professionals from the "Tiroler Gluat" association will be demonstrating their skills and giving practical tips in the outdoor area west. Delicacies from all over the world are available at numerous other stands. "Street food is becoming increasingly popular. And people want to be offered as much exclusive food as possible," says Stefan Eisendle, who prepares lamb skewers at Café italiano. "We are represented at street food festivals around 15 times a year."

For those who want to spruce up their garden, balcony or terrace, we recommend a visit to Hall B.1.

Gardening is attracting more and more young Tyroleans
"Even before corona, interest in self-sufficiency with herbs, fruit and vegetables was already on the rise," says Matthias Karadar, project manager of "Nature in the Garden" at the Tyrolean Education Forum. Many young people in particular are increasingly interested in gardening. In line with the motto of the trade fair - "Experience for the whole family" - gaming and eSports will once again be represented in Hall B.0 this year following last year's successful premiere. "The topic has long since reached the center of society. Over 60 percent of Austrians use digital games at least once a month," says expert Nikolaus Staudacher.

According to Governor Anton Mattle of the ÖVP, "the Tyrolean Spring Fair and the Tyrolean Motor Show are probably the biggest showcase for Tyrol in the first half of the year".
