Goes off on opponents
Real’s Vinicius Junior causes trouble again
Real attacking player Vinicius Junior caused a stir in the match against Celta Vigo on Sunday. The Brazilian clashed with an opponent and was lucky to only receive a yellow card. The 23-year-old recently caused a "choking scandal" in the Champions League.
Vinicius Junior was often simply too quick for the Celta Vigo players. Oscar Mingueza did not know what else to do shortly after the second half kicked off and pulled the Brazilian to the ground by his shirt. The Spaniard was punished with a yellow card.
The Real player, on the other hand, was furious afterwards. He stormed towards the 24-year-old and pushed him onto the pitch with all his might. The referee did not consider the action to be an assault and also left the attacking player with a yellow card. Lucky for the Brazilian.
"Choking scandal" against Leipzig
Especially as he had already attracted unpleasant attention in the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Leipzig. He grabbed RB defender Willi Orban by the neck with a chokehold. He then pushed him roughly to the ground.
The referee also decided against a red card in this case. Particularly explosive: Vinicius Junior eventually scored the lead for the "royals".
Meanwhile, coach Carlo Ancelotti has already asked the Brazilian for a chat: "What I discuss with him remains between us. We have talked about it. We've received a few cautions recently, some deserved, others undeserved. That penalizes us in this aspect and we have to improve."
