Leadership in "Raw Air"
Stefan Kraft jumps onto the podium again in Oslo
Stefan Kraft made it onto the podium again on Sunday in Oslo after his victory the day before. The World Cup leader was only beaten by Norway's Johann Andre Forfang and Japanese tour winner Ryoyu Kobayashi. In the end, Kraft was only 0.2 points ahead of half-time leader Domen Prevc (SLO). Kraft, who had previously won the "Raw Air" qualification, also leads in the "Raw Air" ahead of the next stop in Trondheim.
Kraft was accordingly happy afterwards. "Almost perfect, it was a great weekend for me. It was windy and exhausting. When you don't know exactly what's going to happen with every jump ... I'm happy to have been on the podium twice," was the Salzburg native's summary on ORF after the jumps on the Holmenkollen. Kraft is now 276 points ahead of Kobayashi in the World Cup, who was able to make up 20 points on the Pongau native on Sunday. There are still six remaining jumps.
Decision in Vikersund
Kraft did not want to overestimate his lead in the "Raw Air". "It will be decided in Vikersund anyway, you can get the most out of ski flying," says ski flying world champion Kraft. The ski flying record holder leads 11.3 points ahead of Forfang and 25.3 ahead of Hörl. He is "really looking forward" to Trondheim, where two competitions (normal hill and large hill) will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday on a new bakken as a dress rehearsal for the World Championships. "We haven't been there for a while. I'm excited to see what the hill is like there."
Jan Hörl was "very satisfied" after third place on Saturday and sixth place on Sunday. You can live well with a podium and a sixth place." Now the Raw Air third is looking forward to Trondheim. Michael Hayböck (12th) and Daniel Tschofenig (15th), who was fourth after the first run, made it into the top 15.
"Raw Air" leader Daniel Huber experienced a crash in poor conditions, landing at 111 meters in the first round and thus not only missing out on the top 30 final. His chance in the overall standings of the Norway Tour is gone. "It really ticks me off, I don't quite understand why they gave the green. It's incomprehensible that you can't even wait a bit longer for the last person up", Huber was very angry with the jury in the ORF interview. As the "Raw Air" leader, Huber was the last one up.
