Teddy instead of Thermomix: this is how the packaging scam works

Batteries instead of a new iPhone, a stuffed animal instead of a kitchen appliance - or no package at all: Amazon customers often wait in vain for the right delivery. The online giant has therefore expanded its employee monitoring even further - several dishonest delivery staff have been caught in Carinthia and Vienna.

We've all been there: you're waiting for an Amazon order, you can track where the package you've been waiting for is on the internet, you're ready to rush to the door when the doorbell rings - but it doesn't ring and the package doesn't come either. How such deliveries disappear and where they ultimately end up is revealed in an interesting trial at Klagenfurt Regional Court.
