Hell in Sudan: the forgotten civil war

Exactly one year ago, on April 15, 2023, a brutal civil war broke out in Sudan. Since then, the East African country has resembled hell on earth: 18 million people are starving while fighting for power rages. The world community's interest in this tragedy is minimal. Overcrowded refugee camps, a catastrophic supply situation and two parties to the conflict intensifying the fighting - the situation in Sudan is unimaginable. The conflict has already triggered the world's largest displacement crisis. According to the World Food Program, the civil war is now threatening to become the biggest hunger crisis.
